My name is Marcelo Asher Quarantotto.

I WRITE WITH WORDS, PHOTOS, VIDEOS, WEBSITES, AND MUSIC.

I am a trans, queer, Latinx parent of three who grew up just north of New York City and currently resides on Powhatan land (so-called Richmond, Virginia).

{multidisciplinary storyteller.}

Since 2006, I have worked as a journalist, a marketing copywriter, editor, newspaper designer, photographer, videographer, social media manager, and web developer (among other things) — for brands, artists, and entrepreneurs in a variety of industries.

Despite the wide array of applications and mediums, my focus is simple: showcasing the raw essence of whatever story I’m endeavoring to relay.

This site serves as an online representation of me as a full human. It's not just my portfolio. It's not just a personal blog where I post adventures with my kids. It's not just a way for me to house my creative musings. It's a place where I try to show the world what it looks like when I try to support my family by practicing a simple truth:

Humans do BEST WHEN WE WORK together for the mutual best interest of each other and our environment.

In other words, I don't believe in gaining at a cost to someone (or something) else. Instead, my goal in my life, my art and my career is to create a better future by telling stories about a better now.

Because what we focus on is what we magnify (and make manifest).

Do you have a story about how we can create a better life together or how it is already happening?

If so, I'd love to tell it.
